Habitat - Deconstruction - remove cabinets; counter tops Video Clips. Duration : 10.85 Mins.

This Habitat for Humanity "deconstruction" video shows the steps to remove upper & lower cabinets as well as counter tops (formica, corian, tile, granite). The tools needed are: 1 and 2 lb. hammer(s), flat bars (pry bars), phillips screwdrivers (preferrably: cordless drills with appropriate tips), optional tools: stiff putty knife to cut caulk The estimated time to disconnect plumbing, remove counter tops, appliances, sinks and all cabinets in an "average size" residential kitchen is 1-2 hours with a crew of three people. (Add ~20 minutes if removing granite counters which will be salvaged. After many jobs, we can now successfully remove granite slabs for salvage about 65% of the time.)
